UTMB and CCC training plans.
The UTMB and CCC are long, arduous and demanding races. They require dedicated and specific training. These plans will help you reach your goals. They require you to have a 50-60km week base mileage to start with. Each program has strength training sessions designed to give you a robust body that will enable you to cope with the training and the race itself. Each plan has a one day a week rest day; rest is vital to absorb the effects of your training. Trekking poles will be an important component of your training, so it will be beneficial to have a set; you will definitely need them in the alps!
