At Peak Endurance Coaching, we know that running success doesn’t come from logging random miles. That’s why I created the Ultra Performance Method: a proven framework designed to help you build fitness, avoid injury, and perform at your best when it matters most.


Isobel Tait

Head Coach

Isobel is Head Coach and founder of Peak Endurance Coaching, as well as a world-class athlete who has raced around the world. She has represented Australia 3 times at the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships, as well as racing twice in the Barkley Marathons.

Not only does Isobel have vast personal experience in racing long and short distances (she also has sub 20 min 5k, sub 40 min 10k and sub 3-hour marathon to her name!) but she has also invested in learning all that she can about running. Isobel holds a Recreational Running Certification from Athletics Victoria, an Ultra-Running Coach certification from UESCA and Cycling Coach certification from UESCA. She is a qualified Cert III and IV Personal Trainer, as well as a qualified Sports Nutritionist, with an extra Endurance Sports Nutrition certification from UESCA.

Isobel writes personalised programs that are backed by science and research as well as being tried and tested in the real world. Isobel prides herself on the amazing results and success of the athletes she coaches.


Daniel Kokken

Assistant Coach

Daniel brings a rare combination of deep endurance experience, holistic health knowledge, and genuine care for the athletes he works with.

A lifelong runner who moved through triathlon and into full Ironman racing, Daniel eventually shifted his focus to ultrarunning after becoming a father of four daughters. Since then, he has completed multiple ultras and recently achieved a major milestone: finishing his first 100-mile race.

Beyond his athletic background, Daniel owns a health and wellness studio in Hampton, a Pilates studio in Malvern, and runs a wellness platform dedicated to helping people improve their strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing. His approach to coaching is grounded in understanding the whole athlete, body, mind, and lifestyle.

What truly sets Daniel apart is his passion for helping people achieve things they never believed they could. He thrives on watching athletes break through their own limits and then carry that confidence into the rest of their lives.

Training Program

We want every Peak Endurance Coaching coached athlete to enjoy a completely personalised experience while ensuring it is unmistakably PEC.

  • Customised to your life schedule and race goals and integrated into your daily life.
  • You plan can be adjusted by your coach for factors such as fatigue, travel, and injury (when you are not in your regular routine)  
  • Your daily and weekly schedule is a living roadmap based on your training progression and feedback

Feedback and Individual Guidance

We believe successful feedback isn’t cheerleading or telling you where you went wrong, it is anchored on course correction and keeping you on track to success in all components of the Ultra performance Method. We promise that you will receive meaningful feedback and guidance from your coach.

Education

An empowered athlete is a great athlete. We believe that that training is much more than a great program we want you to understand the mission and meaning behind your approach and sessions. Education is the backbone of our coaching.

 A Distinct Methodology

We do not stick logos on shirts and send a coach into the wild. All of our coaches operate under one system, utilizing the workouts and methods written by Isobel Tait. We are committed to on-going training, support and mentorship of our coaching team. 

  • Every coached athlete is viewed as a Peak Endurance Coaching athlete not one who is simply led by coach X.
  • We believe coaching is a life long endeavor of learning and growth. Our coaches receive regular on-going training and education led by Isobel Tait.
  • Our coaches are not left out to pasture, we have a peer to peer support system as well a head of coaching to ensure consistent feedback and guidance for all of our athletes.

Youth Programs

Coaching kids is completely different to coaching adults!

Coaching youths is different to coaching adults. Training must progress more slowly, and there must be time available for kids to participate in other activities. As a coach, I am cognisant of not overloading young athletes to ensure that not only do they stay injury-free, but that they retain their love of the sport.

The cost for under-18 athletes is $40 per week, with a $60 set-up fee. Monthly calls are conducted as zoom calls with the athlete and parents together as communication is paramount to ensure the training progresses correctly.
